    Abstract

Solid bleached sulfate (SBS) boards are used in highly visible packaging to achieve characteristics that impart and enhance brand image. Customers require that such boards be of the highest possible quality. As a replacement to PVAc which is the established coating binder in most SBS board-making operations, board makers are recognizing the benefits of styrene acrylic binders.
