Abstract
Explore the majestic world of Australian landscapes through the eyes one of its foremost artists, Shay Docking, at a new exhibition opening at Macquarie University Art Gallery on Friday, August 26. Songs of Earth and Sea curated by the University's Rhonda Davis and Leonard Janiszewski, reflects the way Docking represented nature and landscape as instrinsically linked to our evolving natural identity. Her unique vision, coupled with her intense study of volcanoes and angaphora trees, offers new readings of the Australian environment.
