Abstract

The testing of lightweight compact corrugated feed horn for satellite application was presented. The horn successfully completed space qualification tests indicating that the horn could withstand launch and perform well under space-flight conditions. Mechanical vibration tests were carried out on the horn to simulate the launch into orbits, and thermal tests were performed by thermal cycling to determine the effect of temperature on the radiation pattern.
