Abstract
Introduction: The purpose of this poster presentation is to provide a picto-
rial review of the emerging role of image fusion between SPECT and CT to
provide integration of rich anatomical and physiological datasets in the image
interpretation.
Method: The data sets were performed on a hybrid Siemens SPECT/
CT system with 16 slice CT. The data represents 6 clinical cases of
torso based, non-skeletal nuclear medicine studies using a variety of
radiopharmaceuticals.
Results: The results of the 6 cases provides an insight into the importance
of SPECT/CT fusion to diagnostic integrity.
Conclusion: SPECT/CT fusion plays an important role in improving the
diagnostic integrity in a reciprocal fashion across a diverse range of SPECT
applications.
