Abstract

A technique is presented which allows the use of subsectional (subdomain) basis function with singular edge behaviour in the spectral domain version of the Method of Moment (MoM) analysis of printed antennas. The technique is presented for the case of linear functions on rectangular domains ('rooftops'), but it can be extended to the general case of polygonal domains. The numerical results show that a significant reduction of the number of unknowns per wavelength is achieved with this technique.
