Abstract

Seven seductive diversions ... in our culture, the 'seven deadly sins' have 'come of age'. They are, we are told, what we really want. But this collection takes seven Christians from the past two millennia, and puts them through their paces on the seven sins. Does Christianity's opposition to these traditional vices mean anything in the modern world? Are they still deadly? This book is a tribute to Michael Hill, who showed how Christianity creates and promotes loving relationships. The seductive seven promise so much that we can't help living them. But they rob us of the relationships of love for which we crave.
