Abstract

Ordinations showed that vegetation on sandstone was clearly distinct from that on lowlands, but within each category variation was continuous and not closely related to structural vegetation classes. Floristic variation in the understorey was poorly correlated with that in the overstorey. Maps of structural vegetation classes would be very imperfect guides to local floristic variation in this vegetation. -from Authors
