Abstract
A case of probable pericardial effusion by clinical and radiographic criteria, with discrepant results between echocardiographic and radionuclide cardiac blood-pool scintigraphic findings, was shown to have an unusually thick layer of subepicardial fat by nuclear magnetic resonance imaging.
