Abstract

Using a fully quantum formalism we show that the probability of photon pair production via spontaneous four-wave-mixing in a sequence of N resonators can scale quadratically with N. This is the result of quantum interference in analogy with Dicke superradiance, in which the spontaneous emission rate scales quadratically with the number of atoms.
