Abstract

The development of the complex feed system for the Tasmanian Earth Resources Satellite Station (TERSS) is described. The feed system provides simultaneous S/X-band operation with dual polarisation and tracking capabilities within a compact coaxial waveguide arrangement. Extensive use of theoretical methods was necessary to achieve the required performance and the agreement with measured data verified the theoretical designs.
