    Abstract

An endoluminal program for treating arterial aneurysms was started at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney in 1992, closely following Parodi's pioneering report of successful endoluminal treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm in man. Data has been collected prospectively for each procedure and rigorous patient follow-up undertaken, aiming to provide objective information by which the endoluminal method could be assessed. This article reviews the contributions made in Sydney to the endoluminal method of treating arterial aneurysms.
