N2 - The synthesis of 2,4,5-triaryl-imidazoles from benzyl, aldehydes and NH4OAc, as ammonia source, in the presence of catalytic amount of NiCl2·6H2O supported onto acidic alumina in very good yields under heterogeneous system is reported.
