    Abstract

The famous battle of Gallipoli has often been the subject of countless documentaries and feature films made since 1915. Turkish filmmaker Tolga Ornek's documentary on the same is original because he attempts to abandon the baggage of national mythmaking on both sides of the trenches in favour of a more experiential approach to the battle.
