Abstract
This webinar unpacks the powerful linguistic resources of grammatical metaphor (GM) and its most common form, nominalisations. We examine how GMs allow us to adapt and re-shape texts for more or less formal, academic and professional contexts by modelling an accessible lesson that can be adapted to any EAP context.
By attending this webinar, you will gain a deeper understanding of what makes language expression more or less “successful” in different contexts and be able to teach these concepts in a systematic and accessible manner.
