Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Land law is a notoriously difficult subject for students and staff alike. However, land law can also be an exciting and satisfying subject, if students are able to genuinely understand the principles they are learning. This essay explores various techniques for increasing student understanding, beginning with the importance of communicating the social, economic and political function of land law. The essay considers the necessary and unnecessary content of core land law courses, the revolutionary role of technology in teaching land law, experiential learning, and varied formative and summative assessment.
