Abstract

In this Chapter, we first consider how young children from birth to 8 years develop in terms of music and movement, and the implications thsi has for activities and experiences that are appropriate at different developmental stages. Secondly, we examine ways of incorporating music and movement experiences in the daily program and lives of young children. Finally, there are some questions about music and movement experiences for you to consider.
