Abstract

The 12th International Social Pharmacy Teachers' Workshop was held on 12th August 2002 at the University of Sydney, Australia in conjunction with the 12th International Social Pharmacy Workshop, organised by the Pharmacy Practice Group at the University of Sydney under the chairmanship of Dr Ines Krass. Delegates representing Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Kenya, Kuwait, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, Thailand, The Netherlands, UK and US, attended the Teachers' Workshop. The Workshop started with a plenary session on trends in health curricula. This was followed by two concurrent streams covering pertinent topics in the area of Social Pharmacy teaching: "Integrating Social Pharmacy into the Curriculum: Teaching, Learning and Assessment" and "Medication Adherence Assessment and Counselling Skills". This article presents a summary of these two workshops.
