In The Assembly, Australia's most renowned interviewer, Leigh Sales, mentors Autistic journalism students as they learn their craft and interview well known Australian personalities.
Dr Helen Wolfenden and Dr Tai Neilson worked with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) and Helium Pictures to adapt Macquarie’s leading journalism course. Dr Neilson and Dr Wolfenden, experts in journalism, radio and broadcast, devised a 10-lesson program based on universal design principles to accommodate the needs and interests of the students.
