Abstract

The analysis of the effects and causes of heroin abuse has received considerably publicity in both media and government circles. Very little has been written in Australian journals relating to heroin abuse. Therefore a number of theories are critically reviewed and a viewpoint expressed to serve as a pivot for the coordination of both individual treatment and social reforms. 1981 Australian Psychological Society
