Abstract

This report estimates the economic value of cancer research and development (R&D) in NSW and Australia, using return on investment (ROI) analysis. The methodology and key parameters are based to some extent on those developed in Access Economics (2003), Exceptional Returns: The Value of Investing in Health R&D in Australia, bearing in mind that report was for all health R&D, while this report relates more specifi cally to cancer R&D.
