Abstract

The commissioned report examines how technology (e.g. intelligent automation, blockchain, cloud-based software) impacts on the skills and ongoing professional development of early career accountants. It surveys both early career accoutants and their managers/recuiters to canvas issues such as the preparedness of early career accoutants for technology, effective ways of building future-oriented capabilities relevant to technological trends, and which stakeholders (universities, organisations, professional associations) are responsible for best preparing early career accountants for technology.
