Abstract
During the early years of European habitation Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour was a grim place of incarceration and punishment - for convicts, for orphan and wayward girls, for homeless and orphaned boys. Radio play written by Jane Messer, produced and directed by Jane Ulman; actor Ella Cook as Marina, with music arranged and composed by Coralie Joyce; sound engineering by Steven Tilley and Michelle Goldsworthy. Originally broadcast by Airplay, ABC Radio National on Sunday 18th February 2007.
