Abstract
A graffito from Nemea, comprising four words and referring to one Akrotatos, has attracted some attention and various interpretations have been put forward. Brief reasons for disagreement are made, followed by the suggestion that the graffito was written by Akrotatos himself. A point of dialect is made, perhaps indicating that Akrotatos is not from Nemea.
