    Abstract

    This chapter is concerned with evaluating the polls as a guide to the nationwide outcome, not only in the House of Representatives overall but also in the marginal seats, with the ways in which the pollsters and the press interpreted the final polls, and with performance of the polls in relation to the Senate.
