Abstract

Technology adoption has been a serious concern for the distribution and procurement of food and perishable commodities. Despite several schemes and policies, there is a shortage of technology in the food industry available to a large extent. The study answers the research question: How Industry 4.0 can result in a sustainable food system? What are the different technology applications in building a sustainable food Industry 4.0? To answer the research questions, the chapter aims to review the applications of technology in sustainable Food Industry 4.0 and explore Industry 4.0 in a sustainable food system.
