Abstract
Changing weather has spelt trouble before. But now the trouble is that we don't quite know what to make of it, and it feels urgent. As the media, climatologists, environmentalists and politicians vie to shape our understanding and emotional responses to what we perceive and know, global warming reverberates through every level of culture. The uneasy relationship between man and nature is unsettled once more. This exhibition brings together artists to provide a southern response to the trouble with the weather -- aesthetically, conceptually, discursively and pataphysically.
