Thermodynamics of a dusty plasma

Abstract

The thermodynamics of a dusty plasma and an equation of state for two cases were discussed. The thermodynamics quantities for a dusty plasma were derived for the case when the dust charge fluctuation was unimportant and when the dust charges fluctuates either due to the fluctuation in the dust number density. Analysis shows that in a interplanetary environment, dusty plasma was a strongly nonideal gas.
