Time-switched derivative superposition for FET amplifier linearization

    Abstract

    A traditional derivative superposition amplifier combines the outputs of two transistors biased at different gate voltages such that the distortion from each device cancel. A time-switched derivative superposition technique is proposed, that requires only a single transistor. It is shown that such a configuration is simple to implement, while improving both linearity and power consumption of a single transistor amplifier.
