Abstract

This chapter explores the diasporic hybridity theories and the concept of multiculturalism in the Australian cinema. It examines the history of migration and its regulations, the domination of the White Australia policy, and the impact of government funding on the film industry. It looks into the diasporic filmmaking citing the film "Lucky Miles" which portrays migration.
