Abstract
The author recounts her experiences of participating in SquatSpace, an art collective's enterprise called 'Redfern-Waterloo Tour of Beauty' to understand the relationship of residents with the place they live in. She highlights the tensions between the predominant Aboriginal community in the area and the local council over redevelopment plans that could take away prime real estate from its Aboriginal occupants.
