Abstract
The article discusses training and traditions of practitioners during rehearsal practice. The author says that categorization of rehearsal practice can prove to be problematic due to several reasons, which include that rehearsal practice are incomplete and partial and that practitioners in rehearsals work outside labels and the act of labeling erases such work. For rehearsal and performance practice scholars to come to deal with traditions and practices, they need to find a way to get at the lived practices and experiences of practitioners.
