Abstract
The growing number of natural and man-made disaster such as earthquakes, floods, serious droughts and conflicts with subsequent wave of refugees increases the requirements for humanitarian aid and for transportation in humanitarian logistics in particular. Especially the challenges in the last mile of humanitarian aid limit the efficacy of consisting transportation models necessitating requiring new concepts for humanitarian logistics. Can a truck sharing model solve the transportation problems of humanitarian organizations?
