Abstract

Grids are popular mechanisms for resource exchange [1][2][3], but their pervasive, decentralized and loosely coupled characteristics make protecting services and resources difficult. In this paper, we propose a trust model for Grid environments based on our novel recommendation method, a fair-trading scheme, and an access control model. This approach preserves the Grid's decentralized structure and participant's autonomy, but also enables secure service exchange.
