    Abstract

Ultraviolet microchip cerium fluoride lasers have been demonstrated with high efficiency (up to 50%) and ultra-low threshold (∼1.4 μJ). These lasers represent simple compact wavelength converters to 306-331 nm for microchip Nd: YVO4 laser.
