Abstract
Evidence is presented for the occurrence of two diseases caused by potyviruses in Australia: sugarcane mosaic virus (Johnson grass strain) in Stenotaphrum secundatum and a potyvirus (most probably Nothoscordum mosaic virus) in Nothoscordum inodorum. The two diseases have been found in the Sydney Metropolitan Area of New South Wales.
