Abstract
The article discusses various contemporary ethical theories which justify killing in defense of one's homeland. It concludes that killing may be ethically justified in some such cases. But killing in such cases is different from killing in nationalist conflicts or wars not all of which are waged in defense of one's homeland (patria).
