Ultrafast laser-pulse processing of muscovite - contrasting response at 515 nm and 800 nm

Abstract

Muscovite, a dielectric, shows a qualitatively different response to irradiation with a single ~150fs laser pulse at 515 nm as compared to 800 nm. Pulse fluences up to 7J/cm2 are studied.
