Using eportfolios in transnational Asian campuses

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference proceeding contributionpeer-review

Abstract

Research indicates that using ePortfolio assessment can result in high levels of motivation, critical thinking, and engagement. This paper suggests that benefits of ePortfolio assessments are especially valuable for Asian higher education students from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds (NESBs). More specifically, the paper proposes that transnational universities provide explicit guidance, coordinated feedback and develop offshore staff commitment when implementing ePortfolios in their Asian campuses.
