Abstract
This article will address four misconceptions about self-esteem including issues around change, performance, relationships and the use of affirmations. It will discuss how hypnosis can be used to help build healthy self-esteem in clients by individualising your approach to meet the client's needs. Finally, how homework can be utilised as an experiential metaphor to provide the client with a deeply effective experience to propel further change will be discussed.
