Abstract

This paper presents an ultra-wideband (UWB) highly efficient ultrathin polarization converter. The proposed reflective rotator structure consists of an elliptical pattern with two wide rectangular defects on the elliptical axes. The bandwidth of polarization rotation is 10.2-20.5text{GHz}(67%) for text{PCR} gt 90%. To have a better understanding of the performance of the introduced converter, equivalent surface impedance (ESI) analysis is used.
