Values education and quality pedagogy: the Merrylands experience

Abstract

This paper reports on links between good practice in values education and quality pedagogy. Information is based on a case study of Merrylands High School and six nearby primary schools that, as a cluster, participated in the national, Commonwealth funded, Values Education Good Practice Schools project. Literature concerning values education and quality pedagogy is briefly discussed, followed by a description of the Merrylands cluster project and links, observed from that cluster, to quality pedagogy.
