Abstract
Draws attention to a major deficiency in previous geographical studies of variations in grocery prices by illustrating the limitations of the 'sample of one' with this study of the fluctuating price rankings of supermarkets since the composition of the basket of groceries varies. Wrigley offers some preliminary evidence and comments on the topic, unexplored by the authors of the variability of grocery prices over time.-E.Williams
