Abstract
While much is known regarding the Australian rural medical and nursing workforces little is known about the rural Pharmacist workforce. Knowledge regarding where and how rural pharmacists practice as well as the barriers and drivers for rural pharmacists is critical for future workforce planning. This paper presents an overview of findings from a national rural workforce study conducted during 2008-2010 as part of the 4th Community Pharmacy Agreement.
