Abstract

In this paper, we present the design intricacies and implementation details of a wireless sensors network based safe home monitoring system targeted for the elderly people to provide a safe, sound and secured living environment in the society. Programmed system will minimize the number of false messages to be sent to care provider and supports inhabitant through suitable prompts and action to be performed when there is irregular behaviour in the daily activity. Developed system was tested at various elderly homes instead of test bed and the results are encouraging.
