    Abstract

    This article examines the tensions between written documents and their realisation as documentary films. Looking to examples from the work of Australian filmmakers, including Kriv Svenders, Tom Zubrycki and Rosemary Hesp, she asks: How can ‘writing’ best serve documentary?
