Abstract

In this review, we present important global advances in asthma, COPD and airway biology in 2009, and, in the context of these global advances, we highlight articles published in Respirology. Our aim is to provide a summary and interpretation of new data published in the journal about airway diseases, which will contribute to a better understanding of their pathogenesis, and lead to improved diagnosis, prevention and treatment.
